Seeking an Innovation Architect to work with a dynamic and collaborative team responsible for implementing creative technological solutions that address current pain points of employees and customers. We are currently looking for an innovation architect who loves to undertake complex challenges, create groundbreaking ideas, and actualize the final products.

Role Responsibilities:

 

  • Design, innovate and build solutions that enable the latest technologies including IoT, artificial intelligence, machine learning, sensor data processing and voice assistants
  • Apply the latest research to solve practical challenges and build solutions
  • Capture and share best practices among the client IT community
  • Evaluate new technologies and provide recommendations for investment
  • Assess the organizational impact of new technologies
  • Create, prioritize, communicate, manage, and execute innovation roadmaps, project plans, and commitments
  • Work closely with senior and principal engineers to architect and develop the best technical design and approach
  • Oversee the evaluation and selection of hardware and software products and help

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, engineering or related discipline
  • 5+ years of experience in engineering complex IoT and/or artificial intelligence applications or services
  • Strong experience with one or more relevant technologies, including Node.JS+ Javascript
  • Understanding of RESTful architectures, data design patterns and cloud computing
  • Experience working with external and/or internal stakeholders to implement large-scale solutions
  • Presentation and communication skills with a high degree of comfort with technical and business audiences
  • Experience with launching and/or working with startups, accelerators, and incubators
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly
  • Self starter with passion for skunkworks development and continuous learning
  • Experience working with stakeholders to identify relevant requirements and understand how those requirements fit into the broader enterprise context for the application / platform
  • Have the ability to resolve complex challenges with limited oversight
  • Familiar with Scrum/Agile development methodology; Expert hands-on experience with UML sequence/class/communication diagrams, robustness diagrams, and other agile development models
  • Experience or exposure to some of the following: sensor based technologies, microprocessors (Arduino IDE, raspberry PI), wireless sensor technologies (RFID, NFC, BLE), electrical and physical installations
